Stop in on your way...

to Doctor Steve Boothe's Country Store.  Doc Boothe is the local vetinary.

The store opened October, 2004, but it looks like it opened in 1904.  Doc's idea was to make everyone feel that they were walking into a store of their childhood.  The store is made of reclaimed lumber and has many authentic pieces to give you the look and feel of times gone by.  The store stocks Amish goods like honey,  sugar cane syrup, ciders, and jellies.

After your home cooked lunch, you won't be able to resist the old fashioned candy, especially the salt water taffy.  If you resist the candy, you will have the home made churned ice cream - vanilla, strawberry, peach, and chocolate.  The store also has John Deere products, Docs's Country Candles, and Elaine's Country Body Wash and Lotion.  Of course, unique Auburn and Alabama items are available.

After lunch, you will want to walk around the grounds and look at the museum and the hand hewn log cabin which was built in 1845.   Don't miss the family Charolis cattle grazing near by.

Mr. T. J.'s Flea Market is open on Friday and Saturday
