Lake Eufaula a.k.a. Walter F. George Lake named after U.S. Senator Walter F. George
Walter Franklin George was born on a farm near Cordele, Georgia in 1878 and was a United States Senator form 1922 until his death in 1957. Having chaired the Foreign Relations Committee, George exercised great influence on both foreign and economic policy.
